Bogibeel Road-cum-Rail Bridge - how was it built?

This is the film on the Fabrication, Assembly and Launching of the 4.94 KM long double decked steel welded Bogibeel Rail-cum-Road bridge, third longest in India and largest over the Mighty Brahmaputra, by Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) Ltd.

This first totally welded steel bridge of Indian Railways have two railway tracks in the lower deck and three lane for vehicle movement on the upper deck. The 78,000 metric tonne steel bridge has over 900 kilometers of welding and stands overs 42 pillars.

This film show the step-by-step construction process that HCC Ltd has undertaken to build this bridget. It is an example of precise engineering and meticulous planning & implementation.
