Texas Aoudad Hunt: 5 aoudad rams in about as many days.

In November 2021 we traveled to our favorite West Texas ranch to hunt aoudad, or barbary sheep. With about a week to hunt and nearly as many guys hunting, we'd have to spread out to fill all of the tags. We took with us first-time Aoudad hunters, Lyle Hebel from Stone Glacier, DJ Hickman with PROOF Research, and our hunt giveaway winner, Bill Green.

West Texas is rough country. The Aoudad wouldn't have it any other way. It's loose scrabble rock, steep mountains, and cacti everywhere. The difficulty of the terrain, and the aoudad's natural toughness in calling it home is why we keep coming back, every chance we get.
