Technical Deep Dive & Restoration
In this horological teardown, I move beyond the surface of the Benyar BY-5179M and reveals its true construction, with some material analysis on the watch case. And I reveal some welcome surprising finds, making a new appraisal of the PTS G3265Z Chinese automatic movement powering this Benyar watch.

Watch Modding & Chemistry:
In this video, I demonstrate a custom nickel electroplating process to refine the factory finish. The original chrome plating is stripped from the zinc alloy case, followed by surface refinement and nickel electroplating to achieve a stainless steel–like aesthetic. This serves as a guide for those interested in watchmaking, refinishing, and technical modifications.
