Day 340 of my daily video posting project. I have been working on this project since November 2023--learning and posting a video of new piano music every day!

I can't believe I am close to a YEAR of posting these videos every day. I'm excited to reach the one year mark! Today's video is Night Train by Jimmy Forrest, Oscar Washington, and Lewis C. Simpkins. Today's jazz arrangement can be found in Jazz Club Piano Solos - Volume 3.

I wonder why there are so many jazz songs about trains? This one is a blues-inspired, with fun chord patterns and walking bass and written out swing rhythm (dotted eighths/sixteenths instead of straight eighths marked as swing).
