Some interesting random info:

Speed Racer (0:03) was one of the first succesful anime in the US, it was important to make anime something beyond Japan (it had a great legacy, even me, born 1990, watched it when I was a kid).

Attack No. 1 (0:49) is the earliest female sport anime, by Chikako Urano, considered one of the founders of shōjo anime. It was targeted to a female teenage audience and it's creation had a big influence by the gold medal Japanese women's volleyball team won in the 1964 Olympics.
