Aryan Khan bribery case: Delhi HC grants protection from arrest till May 22 to Sameer Wankhede

Delhi High Court granted protection from arrest (No coercive action) till May 22 to Sameer Wankhede with liberty to approach the Bombay High Court for further relief. Earlier, CBI which had booked Wankhede for allegedly demanding Rs 25 crore as a bribe for not framing Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan in the drugs-on-cruise case, said that the deal was closed for Rs 18 crore adding that assets to Wankhade were not proportionate to his known sources of income.
Rizwan Merchant said, “Court has given time till May 22 for NCB to file the affidavit. We have appealed to the court that Sameer Wankhede will attend the CBI office regularly for investigation but he shouldn’t be arrested. Because we have a doubt that they may arrest him. The Court has granted our request. Further hearings will be held in front of the Vocational Court.”
Former NCB officer Sameer Wankhede said, “I have trust in Judiciary, CBI and central government that I will get justice.”
