Infamous Murderer of Kitty Genovese Dies in Prison at 81
The man convicted of the 1964 rape and murder of Kitty Genovese, who was repeatedly stabbed on a New York street while neighbors largely ignored her cries for help, has died after almost 52 years in prison, officials said. Winston Moseley, a psychopathic serial killer and necrophiliac, was 81 years old when he died at the maximum security Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, New York, on March 28, according to the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.
