Mitch Leachman, Executive Director of the St. Louis Audubon Society, will discuss the connection between our backyard birds and native Missouri trees. From food, to shelter and space to reproduce, trees and shrubs are essential to songbirds across our community. The average suburban lot may support 20-30 bird species, but a bit of careful planting with Missouri natives may create a space that supports over 100 species!Join us for an exploration of this phenomenon and the backyard birds of St. Louis.
