Does Terraria's Mushroom Boi NEED another BUFF?

Terraria's new 1.4.5 update adds another minion to Pre-Hardmode, the Mushroom Staff! Yet it remains under-looked. So is it better than current minions like the Frogs or the Flinxes... or should you avoid it? And should Re-Logic "super buff" it... or is it good as is... or perhaps even needs a nerf?
