A+ Energy in Minnesota

Our energy future in Minnesota is incredibly important for us to be looking at. We must ensure our energy future is clean, reliable, and affordable.

Last year's plan but in place last year was the Clean Energy by 2040 - it makes people feel good, but the plan is lacking when you consider the energy needs in Minnesota. Last year's bill focused on wind and solar, but there's only a certain level of sustainability we can sustain before the reliability is gone and power outages begin.... Those happen when we need energy the most.

Senate Republicans offered an amendment today that would use all forms of electric generation to reduce carbon emissions. If we are truly going to have our energy future be cleaner while it remains reliable and affordable, we must include ALL other technologies like carbon sequestration and nuclear energy.
