Groups represent one of the fundamental structures in abstract algebra and make it possible to describe the concept of symmetry. At their core, they consist of a set of elements equipped with an operation that must satisfy a few precise properties: associativity, the existence of an identity element, and the existence of an inverse for every element in the group.

These few rules are enough to define one of the simplest yet most fascinating structures in all of mathematics.
