On board a 42nd Street-Bryant Park bound R68 D train from Coney Island to 42nd Street-Bryant Park

Seen here is a ride on a D train, operated by R68, bound for 42nd Street-Bryant Park.

Due to track replacement at 59 Street-Columbus Circle, A and D trains were suspended across Central Park West. D trains ran into two sections:

(1) Norwood-205 Street and 145 Street
(2) 42nd Street-Bryant Park and Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue.

Passengers who want service along Central Park West, would utilize 1 train service at Times Square for nearby stations along Central Park West, or transfer to free shuttle bus service at 96 Street and take it to 145 Street for D train service.

In this video, I managed to to catch me an R68 on the D coming into Coney Island and will be going outbound to 42nd Street-Bryant Park via express. I would only catch this train since it’s on R68s on the D line and nothing else. Plus, the rollsign only show “Norwood-205 Street” since it doesn’t have the “42nd Street-Bryant Park” sign, unless the closest is Times Square. Oh well, at least the ride was good enough for me to go along to midtown.

In the end, it did went back downtown since it was returning back to Coney Island, plus there was an R46 A train on the other platform as well going back downtown to Queens heading to the next stop, which was 34 Street-Herald Square.

Enjoy!
