The Problem India Won’t Accept

Make in India was launched with two major promises:

More manufacturing jobs.
And a massive increase in manufacturing’s share of India’s GDP.

But years later, the core targets remain largely unmet.

The bigger issue, according to this argument, is not just policy failure — it’s the refusal to honestly evaluate failure itself. Because if a country cannot openly admit what isn’t working, it becomes impossible to improve it.

From Make in India to PLI schemes, the real question is not whether intentions were good.
The real question is: are the outcomes actually changing?

No country progresses without honest self-evaluation.
