My 3D Animation Journey

One year ago today I posted the video "Starship SN11 Flight." It was originally supposed to be released before the Sn10 flight and be a representation of what it was supposed to be. However, due to my computer not being nearly as good as it is now, it took days to render out the 1-minute video. This video was not meant to be public either. I made this as an extra project for a digital photo class I was taking at the time and my teacher was unable to reach the video if it was unlisted for some odd reason. I ended up making it, along with one other video and a short I had made back in October of 2020 public. I did not expect anything of this video, but a few days later when I went to check if my teacher had watched it yet, I was surprised to see that over 3,000 people had seen it. This prompted me to immediately start work on a project that I had thought of for a while, which became my next video "Starship Flight To Mars" Over the coming day I watched as the numbers grew higher and higher, eventually reaching 70,000 views. After posting my next video and it outperformed my first by over 10,000 views, I was motivated to continue doing this and improve my animation skills.

Since then I have continued to make these animations as not only is it a fun thing for me to do in my free time, but I am also grateful that I am able to give something back to the amazing space community that has interested me for the past few years. I hope to continue these making these animations in my free time for the foreseeable future.

Again thank you all for the amazing support you have given me. Looking back, some of my earlier animations were not up to par with "amazing" or "spectacular," yet some of you amazing people out there still said that, and those people are the people that have brought me to where I am today. I am still not on par with professional vfx artists, or people that have done this for longer than I have, I only started with 3d animation in early 2019, but I hope I can continue to improve my videos. This is all so one day I can look back at my videos and truly think they were amazing.
