“ In 2016 I was hired to design "Villa Xálima" on an private island inside of an atoll located in the Caribbean Sea belonging to Yucatan Peninsula´s coast with the main goal to design the definitive fusion between Art, Architecture and Nature under a poetic point of view.

The project, which exact location we can not share was designed to be the most beautiful house of modern architecture by client´s requirement. In a Caribbean island in which the Mesoamerican culture of the place it belongs, is reflected.
Completely inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright's Masterpiece Fallingwater House and Mies van der Rohe's masterpiece "Farnsworht House",
Our developer wanted to adapt the Architecture and Composition Language of our projects "Xálima Island House" and the "Water Pavilion" to a house of 26,000 m2 with a main pavilion of common uses and 12 completely independent and scattered rooms that will complete a land of 42,500 m2 in a total and definitive fusion with the existing relief and nature and Influenced by the Ancient Mayan Architecture.

Each of the twelve rooms, with an average extension of 1000 m2, offers all the comforts of a luxury project.
They have absolute privacy, being independent in their functional program.

All of this This ,results in a project that has to be understood as twelve independent villas that are grouped around a series of common spaces that suppose to be the place of public meeting of the complex.

The design investigates the potential of the fusion of vernacular Mayan Architecture with modernist design. Combining the delights of traditional Mesoamerican Architecture and landscapes with modern dynamic treatment of space and form

The main design strategy, was to adapt the proposed functional program to a very specific and accused relief.
Giving place to a project in perfect harmony with the terrain.

An intimate dialogue between nature and architecture where both expressions being elements of a common and unitary language. "
