Can a LEGO Motor Pull a Car?

Using LEGO Technic and a LEGO Power Functions motor I designed and built a winch and pulley system to try and pull a car that weighed approximately 1600kg!

There was no handbrake on, and the car was set on a level surface.

This experiment proved difficult due to the size of the object I was trying to move and shows just how strong and resilient LEGO is!

I tried different LEGO gear ratios between 135:1 to 375:1 with the final ratio being 208:1!
