Sharmindagi hai hum ko bahut hum mile tumhein
Tum sar-ba-sar khushi the magar gham mile tumhein

Main apne aap mein na mila is ka gham nahin
Gham to ye hai ki tum bhi bahut kam mile tumhein

Hai jo hamara ek hisaab us hisaab se
Aati hai hum ko sharm ki paiham mile tumhein

Tum ko jahan-e-shauq-o-tamanna mein kya mila
Hum bhi mile to darham o barham mile tumhein

Ab apne taur hi mein nahin tum so kaash ki
Khud mein khud apna taur koi dam mile tumhein

Is shahr-e-heela-ju mein jo mahram mile mujhe
Fariyaad jaan-e-jaan wahi mahram mile tumhein

Deta hoon tum ko khushki-e-mizhgaan ki main dua
Matlab ye hai ki daaman-e-pur-nam mile tumhein

Main un mein aaj tak kabhi paaya nahin gaya
Janaan jo mere shauq ke aalam mile tumhein

Tum ne hamare dil mein bahut din safar kiya
Sharminda hain ki us mein bahut kham mile tumhein

Yun ho ki aur hi koi Hawwa mile mujhe
Ho yun ki aur hi koi Aadam mile tumhein
