Elvis Presley - You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling - 7 August 1970, Stage Rehearsal - with Stereo audio

In preparation for the opening of his August 1970 Las Vegas engagement, Elvis, his band and orchestra undertook two stage rehearsals. The first took place on 7 August in front of MGM's cameras and film crew during production of the upcoming movie chronicling the upcoming engagement and Elvis preparations for it. The second would take place three days later during the afternoon of 10 August just hours before Elvis took to the stage on opening night of a fifty nine show engagement.

Elvis began both stage rehearsals with renditions of a new addition to his setlist, a contemporary cover of one of the most famous pop songs of all time, You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling. Small portions of this 7 August version was included in the movie with Elvis first entering the stage wearing his iconic red shirt immortalised on many a promotional poster for the movie, The version from the second stage rehearsal on 10 August was given an official release in 1980 on the Elvis Aron Presley silver box set and was the second track amongst the Las Vegas years selection.
