Tyrion lost most of his nose after the battle #shorts

Tyrion Lannister is a fan favorite, but George R.R. Martin’s original character is far more complex and 'grotesque' than the TV version. While Peter Dinklage gave Tyrion a sharp, charismatic edge, the books describe a man who was shunned by society not just for his height, but for his unsettling features. After the Battle of the Blackwater, Tyrion’s face is shattered; he loses three-quarters of his nose, making him look like a monster to the people of King’s Landing.

Beyond his looks, there is a massive fan theory known as 'The Tyrion Targaryen Theory.' In the books, Tyrion is described as having mismatched eyes—one green and one black—and hair so blonde it's almost white. Combined with Tywin’s dying words, 'You are no son of mine,' many believe Tyrion might actually be the secret son of the Mad King, Aerys Targaryen. This would mean he isn't a Lannister lion at all, but a dragon in disguise. Whether he is a Targaryen or not, Tyrion’s journey in the books is one of deep bitterness and survival, far grittier than the 'God of Wine' persona we saw in the final seasons of the show.
