Months before the landlord trouble. Before I lost everything. Before I packed up and drove back to the east coast, there were days like this.

Byron was my mechanic and a friend at 829 Auto in Chula Vista, CA. He was so excited when I hired him that when he went to Mexico to pick up our windshield banners, he rushed to get back to the shop, and crashed his car on the way.
His brakes were shot. Tires worn out. Headlights cooked. I spotted him the racing brakes and tires, I wasn't letting him drive unsafe. Then I went back after a good month of work and surprised him with a set of MK6 Volkswagen Golf GTI Spyder Headlights.

He had no idea.

The shop is gone now. The landlord violated my lease in 2024
and forced me to close. But this moment? Nobody can take this.
