FSD Road Trip in 2026 Tesla Model X with Half-Battery

Starting a spontaneous road trip with only 65% battery in a 2026 Tesla Model X... bad idea?
In this video, we push the Model X to its limits on an unplanned drive from Raleigh, NC to the beach using Full Self-Driving (FSD). With a full EPA range of 352 miles, starting at 65% gives us a tight real-world highway window. Does a last-minute EV road trip add massive time waste and inconvenience, or can Tesla's route planning, efficiency, and Supercharging network save the day?

Along the way, I test FSD, talk through range and charging strategy, and give my honest real-world impressions of the 2026 Model X — not from a showroom, press event, or press-drive with pre-planned routes but from actually driving it somewhere a normal person would in their day-to-day life. I'll expose what you actually have to put up with despite the premium price tag and even show you the window sticker!

This is PART 1 of a two-part trip. Part 2 (the return) will be linked when uploaded.
