Paralyzed Curvy Female Ground to Chair Failed Transfer Series | Episode 3

My one goal going to the gym was to do a successful ground to wheelchair transfer on my own. My trainer has been working out the muscle groups I would need to succeed at this goal. Hence all the other videos I have been showing you. I have watched countless youtube videos of fellow SCI's showing how they transfer from the ground to the wheelchair. I blink, and miss just how they did it. They don't show the training they did to get to that point. More times then not, they are male, and don't have the obstacles I do as a woman.. i.e. Hips, Butt, Curves, Thighs. All my weight and former muscles are in my lower half... which is paralyzed! As a woman, it is OK TO BE CURVY AND IN A WHEELCHAIR. I HAVE LOST 100 LBS OF EXTRA WEIGHT... and I still have trouble, cause I am just built like "kim kardashian". There is a way to do this transfer for everyone.. what works for one person, may not work for the next due to body shape, body height, and arm length. fun fact: my arms are actually 2 inches shorter than they should be! So, I ALSO have that working against me. These people on youtube show their perfect transfers and it makes me go " WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME? WHY CANT I DO THIS TRANSFER! THEY MAKE IT LOOK SO EASY!!"... it leads to frustration. Im sure they ALSO had several failed attempts, but NO ONE wants to show the world their failures. I am here to be that person. This video is me failing and working to FIGURE OUT HOW to do this transfer. This is the second video of the series that I will post for you to see the different methods. SO if you leave a comment saying another way I should try it, stay tuned for future videos... chances are.. I TRIED THAT WAY. Do I eventually make this transfer? Youll have to stay tuned to see if I successfully do this transfer!!
