🎹 The accidental riff that changed electronic music history forever! #atb #rishisharma #insights

In 1998, Andre Tanneberger (ATB) was showing off his studio gear to his girlfriend before a movie date. He played a quick melody using a pitch-bend wheel on a Roland JD-990 synthesizer—and accidentally created the iconic "talking guitar" sound. That sound became "9 PM (Till I Come)", featuring vocals by Yolanda Rivera. It made history as the first trance track ever to hit #1 on the UK Singles Chart!

Facing intense pressure to avoid being a one-hit wonder, ATB returned to the studio in 1999. He doubled down on his signature synth sound, combined it with a driving peak-time club bassline, and dropped "Don't Stop!". The tracking stormed global clubs and locked in a #3 spot on the UK charts, solidifying him as an absolute legend of the late-90s progressive trance explosion.
