Best Dividend Stocks for Long Term Investment (August 29, 2025 List) - US and Canadian Companies

A list of stocks that pay a dividend, that also have a long track record of increasing the dividend each year, showing strong earnings/profit growth, and outperforming the S&P 500.

This is what I want in a dividend stock. A great long-term performer. The trap with dividends is that often people only want a high current yield. Yet the company can't afford to pay the dividend in the future, or the yield is only high because the stock price is dropping. That is a dividend trap.

For long-term investment, and to see cash flow increase dramatically over time, focus on solid companies with strong growth and that regularly increase the dividend.
