TOP TEN: The Best Songs Of Boney M. [RETRO]

In 1974 a German singer released a single under the name "Boney M." because he thought it wasn't fitting for his name which he used so far. The song became a marginal hit in the Netherlands and Franz Reuther aka Frank Farian looked for dancers to perform this song. After some time he settled on Liz Mitchell, Marcia Barnett, Maizie Williams and Bobby Farrell - originally all four were from the Carribeans but lived in Europe already. Boney M. was born and their next singles became huge hits across Europe including the UK.

Though only Liz Mitchell and Marcia Bennett really sung on the records (while all male vocals were recorded by Frank Farian himself) all four are known as the faces of Boney M, one of the most succesful acts from Germany in the popular music world.
