Our Journey from Friends to "Business" Partners (Andrew Aran-Mark Reitsma -5/31/24 - NCS New Canaan)

NCS brudders Andrew Aran and Mark Reitsma vulnerably share the faithful journey that took them from new friendship in the beginning days of NCS Bergen County (the Bergen County Society) to Bergen County Society leadership, to taking the leap of faith to become "business" partners with the formation of Regency Wealth Management in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis.

After talking about their own unique personal and career backgrounds and faith journeys, Andy and Mark describe how the Bergen County Society was conceived, how each of them came to play a part in its early days, and how it became the foundation of their friendship.

Aran and Reitsma then explain the leap of faith called Regency Wealth Management, a financial advisory infused with their Christian faith. They share some of the ways that they have been intentional about ensuring that Regency reflects their beliefs and values, including through a powerful purpose statement acknowledging God, office Bible studies, prayer for and with clients, and a focus on generosity and community involvement.

During an extended Q&A, Andy and Mark share some of the challenges they have faced, including maintaining life balance while building a business, as well as thoughts about stewardship and generosity and ways they encourage clients to be generous givers.
