Elvis Presley - Barefoot Ballad - Movie Version - Re-edited With Stereo Audio

The backing track to this song from “Kissin’ Cousins” was recorded at RCA’s studio B in Nashville on 30 September 1963 and was a far more straightforward recording than the final master.
Elvis recorded his vocal overdub the backing track at MGM’s sound stage in Hollywood on 10 October 1963. After two takes it was decided that instead of recording any further complete takes, Elvis would just re-record the part that was unsatisfactory, known as the pick up. This pick up was then spliced onto the satisfactory parts of the original vocal overdub creating a spliced master. This spliced master was then used in the movie and on the subsequent soundtrack album.

As with all of these videos, to get the most out of the re-edited audio, I highly recommend you use ear /headphones and turn the volume up as much as you dare!
