I've had this idea for a long time now. Something I used to do back when I made video games was create very atmospheric music. Tunes that focused on settings and emotions rather than physical playing. There is something unique when this type of music is handplayed. I think handplayed music these days focuses on quick and crazy techniques that are interesting for only a few seconds(I blame short form content for that). But when you get something simple to make your own, I think that's when handplayed phrasing can be something truly marvelous especially when subtle.

Phoenix Wave is the start of this idea where the focus is on atmosphere or emotion. These are songs you can do things to and the focus isnt on us as musicians but you as a person or whatever you are going through.
