This episode I cover cutting the holes in the sides of the van to fit and mount the fibreglass gas box and the instantaneous gas hot water system. I sourced the gas box from DIY RV Solutions here locally in Brisbane, and sourced the hot water unit from Camec locally as well.

The gas box is custom made for Sprinter models 2007 and later, and contours with the curves on the side of the van for a flush finish. It fits a 4.5kg gas bottle inside, but you can buy a large version that fits 2 x 4.5kg gas bottles.

I am not licensed to install and fit off gas systems, so I will be paying a gas subcontractor to run all the gas lines and fit off my gas bottle, hot water unit and gas cooktop.
