The Dark Side of the Kings in Tarot: Power, Ego & Shadow Work

Today we’re looking at the dark side of the Kings in tarot.

The Kings can represent maturity, mastery, leadership, protection, authority, and power held well. But when that energy distorts? Things get messy.

In this video, we’re exploring the shadow side of each King:

👑 King of Wands: charisma, ego, intensity, and the visionary who becomes a tyrant in a linen shirt
👑 King of Cups: emotional intelligence, avoidance, healing language, and accountability issues
👑 King of Swords: logic, control, debate-bro energy, and truth used as a weapon
👑 King of Pentacles: stability, provision, ownership, and generosity with terms and conditions

We’ll also look at how to identify shadow King energy in a tarot reading using reversals, spread positions, surrounding cards, astrology, numerology, elemental patterns, and the overall atmosphere of the spread.

This is part tarot lesson, part shadow work, part court card character assassination. Respectfully.

If you enjoy tarot, astrology, witchcraft, shadow work, spiritual commentary, and slightly unhinged but genuinely useful tarot education, please like, subscribe, and turn on notifications so you don’t miss the rest of this court card series.
