President Trump defends White House ballroom project

President Trump defends his White House ballroom project after a $1 billion proposal in security additions for the White House and the ballroom was removed from a Senate Republican bill because it violated Senate budget rules. Although Trump assured Americans the ballroom project would not use any taxpayer funds, the administration estimated about $220 million of the $1 billion in Secret Service funding would go toward the ballroom project. “All of this is paid for by myself,” Trump told reporters. “We are making a gift. This is a gift. This is not going to be paid for by the taxpayer.”
