Step-by-Step Guide: Add Scroll to Top Button in WordPress with Elementor

1. Login to WordPress dashboard
2. Make sure Elementor and (optional) Elementor Pro are installed and activated
3. Go to the page where you want to add the button, and click Edit with Elementor
4. Create an Anchor at the top of the page:
Drag the “Menu Anchor” widget from Elementor panel
Place it at the very top and give it an ID, like top
5. Scroll to the bottom and add a Button widget:
Label it “↑ Top” or any custom text/icon
In the link field, type #top (this tells the button to scroll to the anchor)
6. Style the button as you like using Elementor design tools
Customize background, shape, padding, hover effects
7. (Optional) Use Motion Effects - Sticky to make the button stay visible when scrolling
Go to the Advanced tab - Motion Effects
Set Sticky to “Bottom” or “Custom” on mobile/tablet/desktop
8. Update and preview your page to test the scroll behavior

If you want a global Scroll to Top button across your entire site, create it inside a Footer template using Elementor Pro’s Theme Builder, or use a lightweight plugin like “WPFront Scroll Top” if not using Elementor.
