A VICTORIAN HIGH COUNTRY WINTER / NED KELLY HISTORY AT BEECHWORTH / OLD GAOL & COURT HOUSE / BRIGHT

In this episode, we reflect around the cosy campfire on whether spending winter in Victoria was the right choice. The next day, our adventure continues as we head back to the stunning town of Bright, followed by a visit to the historically rich and equally beautiful Beechworth.

In Beechworth, we explore the Old Gaol and the Old Court House, uncovering intriguing connections to the Ned Kelly Bushranger saga and the town’s heritage. We also stop by the Telegraph Station, where we send a message to family using Morse Code — such a unique experience!

On our way back to camp, we visit an old Tobacco Kiln and learn about the once-thriving tobacco farming industry in the Myrtleford region.

We are Steve and Dena with our travelling birdy Yummy, living full-time in our caravan, travelling around Australia. We invite you to subscribe to our channel and follow our adventures as we explore this amazing country and unearth some intriguing facts in the many little country towns that we visit along the way.
