The journey of a mad scientist (and her selfies): Divya Ramamoorthy at TEDxYouth@Austin

The journey of generating heart tissues is riddled with "mad scientist selfies." It is a long journey, full of failure, accompanied by only the occasional—remarkably exciting!—success. Divya's love for regenerative medicine has led her to the forefront of the field, alongside a group of UT students working in Suggs Cardiovascular Lab.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
