Seed Week Celebrations Begin in State Ahead of Kharif Season | Minister Tummala || ETV Ground Report

Farmers across Telangana are gearing up as the Kharif season is set to begin on June 1st, with the government initiating seed distribution ahead of the sowing period. Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao officially launched the Seed Festival at the Agricultural Research Institute (ARI) center of Professor Jayashankar Agricultural University in Rajendranagar, Hyderabad. These seed festivals, organized under the university's supervision, will continue until the 30th of this month as part of the state's 99-day 'Praja Palana - Pragati Pranahika' initiative. A total of 27 seed sales centers have been established across the state, including Regional Agricultural Research Stations and Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), to ensure wide accessibility for farmers.
