In December 2021, the Pushkin State Museum completed an ambitious project to study and conserve The Red Vineyards at Arles. The project was supported by LG SIGNATURE.
The long and painstaking treatments have stopped the slow deterioration of the painting. Its root causes were identified, weak areas consolidated, possible risks prevented, the traces of previous restorations removed.
There are no more concerns about the state of the canvas and paint layer, so the famous painting will be exhibited at the exhibition "Brother Ivan. Collection of Ivan and Mikhail Morozov", which will be opened at the museum in the summer of 2022.
