Diwali in Mauritius 2020

We celebrated Diwali (or Deepavali), the festival of lights with a great Mauritian family. It was a great day out. I learned the whole story about Rama and Sita from Hasna. I then helped make a Rangoli to help invite Lakshmi in to the house with clay lanterns, (diya).
I help prepare a veg biryani and then ate it.
Walking around and visiting all the neighbours was fun, but packing the sweets to take took ages, but totally worth it.
It was a great day, thanks to Hasna and her whole family and friends and neighbours and all the people we met. Thanks you all for inviting us.
And didn't Riki look awesome in her sari and I turned out ok in the kurta.
Diwali 2020 will go down as a great day. Thanks.
