I have a ghetto garden where I put random cuttings/propagations of both indoor outdoor plants as a science experiment to see what will stick! When I first started, I didn’t have shade and each plant would basically cook during the hot summers, but this simple shade cloth made it possible for this tropical plant to thrive in the desert and survive record breaking heat summers! Shade from trees can also create microclimates like this and allow you to grow plants you otherwise wouldn’t be able to grow in areas that aren’t ideal!
