Watercolor Sunflowers Tutorial

This tutorial will show you step by step how to paint a group of sunflowers in watercolor. You will learn how to make a watercolor sketch, and how to use a limited pallete for a painting. I will be using tube watercolors, however, use what you have. Sorry about the overhead shots that cover what I am painting, I’m working on getting a shot from the side. Enjoy!

Supplies
Watercolor Paper - Canson watercolor block 140 lb cold press, 12x16 inches
Watercolor Paints - Koi brand, deep yellow (YELLOW), cobalt blue (BLUE), vermillion hue (RED), viridian hue (GREEN)
Pallet or plate
Small round paintbrush
Large round paintbrush (16)
Water
Paper towel or clean rag
Scratch piece of paper
