From Internet popularity to community building and even college rejections, Internet memes have become an integral part of American culture. Find out what they are, how they spread, and why you should care about them!
Thanking Driss Elmeloud (@iamdriss) for the opening gears animation reel. Mackenzie Finklea is a fourth-year undergraduate at the University of Texas at Austin, studying Anthropology with a special interest in archaeology. She also has a minor in Architecture and a certificate in Museum Studies. Throughout her college years, Mackenzie has spearheaded the first branch of the Creator Institute at UT Austin and is writing and publishing a book. Overall, Mackenzie is deeply fascinated by human culture, both past and present, and how it is put on display. She values the importance of interdisciplinary work and has made it a point to not only explore multiple disciplines, but also to develop meaningful connections with her peers and colleagues.
