China donates ventilators to NY, Cuomo says

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announces that the Chinese government facilitated a donation of 1,000 ventilators.

"The Chinese government is going to facilitate a donation of 1,000 ventilators that will come into JFK today. And I want to thank Joe Tsai and Clara Tsai and Jack Ma from Alibaba and the (Brooklyn) Nets, but I'm not stating a preference, for their donation," Cuomo said during a Saturday briefing.

Coronavirus-related illnesses killed 630 people in the last day in New York state, Cuomo said, in the worst 24 hours yet for the U.S. state hit hardest by the pandemic.
