I may be the only tree service in my area that actually wears a fall harness while in the lift. This is an important piece of safety equipment. One of them found out the hard way not too long ago. Fortunately they lived, but had severe injuries and head trauma. The risk is not worth it. There are only a couple of things I will say something about helmet & harness are non-negotiable in my book followed by eyes & ears. Beyond that is up to you, although chainsaw pants or chaps are a good idea.
