Peloton Interactive has acquired Skōp, a connected Pilates reformer startup, in a deal the company describes as a targeted acquisition of technology and expertise to accelerate its Pilates and strength training development, rather than an immediate new product launch for its consumer lineup.

The acquisition, announced last week, adds Skōp's patent-pending form-tracking technology and its team's specialised Pilates knowledge to Peloton's R&D function.
