Meghan's image as a 'poor bullied woman' is being undercut by Palace investigation

Spiked Online Editor Brendan O’Neill says Meghan Markle complaining about her life is “identity politics summed up” as she has immense wealth and is a celebrity but "makes herself the victim”.

“What we have here is an incredibly wealthy woman, a well-connected woman, a celebrity in her own right, a virtue signaller claiming to be a victim, claiming her life is terrible,” he told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

Mr O’Neill said the “war of words” between Buckingham Palace and Prince Harry and Meghan “undercuts” her image as a victim because the Palace is investigating claims of her bullying staff.

“It really does undercut Meghan’s victim claims and the way in which she is presenting herself as this poor bullied woman who’s been mistreated by everyone, that’s going to be undercut by what Buckingham Palace is currently revealing.”
