In this part, we will show you how to set up the set: SAT antenna + Quatro LNB using Signal WS-6980 meter.
The previously assembled antenna with installed LNB goes through 3 steps
STEP 1 - setting elevation angle (A).
STEP 2 – directing the antenna towards the south, which will make easier to determine the angle from the south direction (B).
STEP 3 – signal measurement with the meter and final setting of the antenna, which consists in correction of the dish position based on the meter readings. After
"finding" the satellite signal and tightening all screws, rotate the LNB (angle C) to set the best possible signal quality.
NOTE: The signal quality is strongly dependent on:
-size of the dish,
-quality of the LNB,
-appropriate location of the dish (the dish cannot be too low and nothing can obstruct its “view” of the satellite).
In the following part, we will show you signal measurements for Unicable and Wideband LNBs.
