The Carpenters "We've Only Just Begun"

Beginning as a fragment of a song accompanying a Crocker National Bank TV commercial sung by its writer Paul Williams, the full version of "We've Only Just Begun" was recorded by The Carpenters in 1970 becoming their biggest hit single, spending 7 weeks at #1 on the Billboard U.S. Adult Contemporary singles chart. It was included on their second LP Close to You and can also be found on other albums and collections including Singles 1969-1973 CD, the Essential Collection (1965-1997), and the Carpenters Gold Greatest Hits box sets all on A&M.
