An aged gentleman is sitting in the chair; he has lived through almost the entire century; a Finnish nobleman, a veteran of the Russian-Finnish war. He returns to the fields of fierce battles after 50 years, but war is not only thing that connects him with these places.. A man lived there, whom he did not know personally, but the fate linked them forever.
The film explores the theme of spiritual heritage, family, faith and culture. The film focuses on the life of a unique character, a Finnish nobleman, born in the early twentieth century, who went through the trenches of the World War II as a young man.
In the course of the story we reveal him to be a spiritual heir to the last owner of the Manor of Mon Repos (Vyborg). Paul Nicolai (1860-1919) was a man who tried to oppose the times, in which he lived, to stop the world rushing towards the imminent catastrophe (the Revolution of 1917).
"The story of one finn" is the story about Finnish nobelman Paul Gunderson. When he was young he went through the Russian-Finnish war. And he devoted all his life to the work in organization the main idea of which was the moral revival of post-war Europe.
