Importing Vectors from SketchUp – The Tea Shelf Project – Part 1

In this video, I’ll demonstrate and discuss the processes I used to import the vectors I need to cut a Tea Shelf in Vectric Cut2D Desktop, Cut2D Pro, VCarve Desktop, VCarve Pro, and Aspire.

First I’ll show you the project in SketchUp, then I’ll show you a few things to be sure of, and be careful of. Then I’ll walk you through the process of importing the vectors from that SketchUp model into the Vectric software.

Finally, I’ll show you how clean up the vectors by deleting some confusing “duplicates.” I’ll show you how to make sure that a dado or rabbet is cut full width, without leaving behind the radius of the end mill.
