Blue Spiral Galaxy Starfield 10 Hour Space Journey- 100 Million Light Years Away!

Travel over 100 million light years away to Spiral Galaxy NGC 2336. This Spiral Galaxy is the quintessential galaxy-- big, beautiful, and blue. Our journey takes you up close while a constant starfield emerges from this star nursery. Spiral Galaxy NGC 2336 stretches an immense 200,000 light-years across and is located in the Northern constellation of Camelopardalis (the Giraffe).

Galaxy NGC 2336 features spiral arms that glitter with young stars, visible in their bright blue light. The central core of the galaxy is dominated by older stars. In 1987, NGC 2336 experienced a Type-Ia supernova, the only observed supernova in the galaxy since its discovery 111 years earlier.
