Jegan Damodarasamy shares his thought on start-ups and established businesses. He talks about his experiences as an entrepreneur and the role of a leader. Jegan Damodarasamy, is a third-generation entrepreneur who comes with 15 years experience in food industry and presently holds the position of executive director at the Coimbatore-based South Indian restaurant chain, Sree Annapoorna Sree Gowrishankar Hotels Pvt Ltd. Having done his undergraduate in Mechanical Engineering from PSG College of technology, Coimbatore he went on to do his Masters in Food Technology from University of Georgia. He started his career as a food technologist at Chicago-based industrial seasoning manufacturing company in 2004. After two-and-half years of working with top brands in food industry like Mc Donalds, Subway, Dairy Queen and Tyson Foods, he moved to India in mid-2007 to join his family business—the Annapoorna restaurant chain. Jegan has vast experience and in depth understanding of the day to day operations of restaurants.
